A Local, Family-Owned, Small Business.
The Ayres family’s legacy shines in Knoxville. Joe and Joseph, with five generations of East Tennessee roots, are a vital part of our community. From UT’s iconic Ayres Hall to Joseph’s time as a Volunteer, their story reflects the heart of our city.
Together, Joe and Joseph uphold the family’s legacy with Cumberland Securities, their boutique investment banking firm, while also passionately pursuing their vision for real estate development. Their dedication to East Tennessee is evident in projects like WindRiver, a stunning 700-acre active lifestyle resort community on Tellico Lake, southwest of Knoxville.
Joe and Carole’s love for travel has also led them to the beautiful Turks and Caicos Islands, where they’ve contributed to exceptional resorts like The Grace Bay Club, Pointe Grace, West Bay Club, and Rock House Resorts.
In 2018, the Ayres family brought their hospitality expertise home, establishing Ayres Lodging Collective, a Knoxville-based management company dedicated to crafting memorable experiences for guests in East Tennessee. And in 2019, their dream of creating a unique lodging experience near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park came to life with the founding of Treehouse Grove Resorts. We invite you to experience the passion and dedication that drives everything we do.
